Toyota has officially unveiled the new GR Supra Track Edition, the most performance-focused variant of its iconic rear-drive coupe to date, priced from $105,295 plus on-road costs. Landing in Australian showrooms this July, the Track Edition brings a sharper edge to the GR Supra’s renowned driving dynamics, combining mechanical upgrades with exclusive styling enhancements to set it apart from the rest of the range.

Positioned above the existing GT and GTS grades, the Track Edition builds on Toyota’s motorsport pedigree with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, featuring a suite of engineering improvements aimed squarely at serious driving enthusiasts.

“The Track Edition has all the makings of a future classic,” said Sean Hanley, Toyota Australia Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations. “With exclusive enhancements and refined performance, it’s a car that truly embodies the spirit of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing.”

Enhanced Dynamics for Maximum Thrill

Beneath its sleek coupe silhouette, the GR Supra Track Edition boasts a host of chassis and suspension upgrades to improve handling, responsiveness and overall road feel. These include:

  • A larger front anti-roll bar

  • Aluminium mounting brackets for both front and rear anti-roll bars

  • Reinforced rubber bushings for the front control arms

  • A stiffer rear subframe mount with new rear underfloor bracing

  • Revised front camber geometry

To complement these mechanical enhancements, the electric power steering and rear limited-slip differential have been reprogrammed to match the updated suspension characteristics. Braking performance also gets a boost with upgraded 374mm front discs, ensuring confident stopping under pressure.

Track-Inspired Styling Inside and Out

Visually, the GR Supra Track Edition makes a bold statement with 19-inch matte black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and aero-enhancing front and rear wheel arch flaps. It also gains front tyre spats and a striking carbon fibre ducktail spoiler, all aimed at enhancing both form and function.

The cabin features exclusive touches including black Alcantara upholstery with embroidered GR logos, red seat belts, and, on manual variants, a distinctive red ring around the gear shift knob.

Further distinguishing it from the standard range is a matte black exterior paint option available solely for the Track Edition, in addition to the eight other solid, metallic and matte colour choices in the GR Supra palette.

Power to Match the Looks

Powering the Track Edition is the same 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine found across the GR Supra range. Delivering 285kW and 500Nm, the engine pairs with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. Its near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution and finely tuned chassis deliver the hallmark balance and agility the Supra name is known for.

With its exclusive upgrades and sharper handling, the GR Supra Track Edition delivers an even more exhilarating take on Toyota’s flagship sports car. Designed for those who demand more edge and presence from their performance car, it’s a fitting tribute to Supra’s rich performance heritage—and a compelling new chapter for driving purists.
